Hit the Ground Running

Opening General Session

Energy and excitement are off the charts at the convention’s Opening General Session! Join SHAPE America leadership along with state and district representatives and a keynote speaker to celebrate the start of the convention with all attendees.

The Opening General Session will be held at the Convention Center on Tuesday from 4-5:30 p.m., after the first full day of sessions. Learn more about what you can expect!

Opening Celebration

Kick off your convention week at the Opening Celebration! Don’t miss the opportunity to catch up with old friends, meet new friends, and celebrate the start of a week with your community ... it’s the place to be!

The Opening Celebration is held in the Convention Center immediately after the Opening General Session on Tuesday evening. Discover the exciting experiences that await you!

End on a High Note

Closing General Session

The convention’s Closing General Session is chock full of warmth, emotion and excitement. It includes the Chuck and Cathie Corbin Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Keynote Address and a live announcement of the SHAPE America National Teachers of the Year!

The Closing General Session is held at the Convention Center on Friday afternoon from 4-5:30 p.m., after the last full day of sessions.

Teacher of the Year Awards

During the Closing General Session join SHAPE America leadership, Teacher of the Year Partner Network, and convention attendees to recognize the 2026 SHAPE America District Teachers of the Year and announce the new SHAPE America National Teachers of the Year!
